Annabella Nassetti, the creative director of leading international interior design company, A Living Concept, has won the coveted Corporate LiveWire Global Award for “Most Innovative Interior Design Professional” for the second consecutive year.

The title is awarded following a stringent process to evaluatecriteria including innovation, experience, sustainability and quality of client service. Shortlisted candidates are selected from a pool of nominees proposed by over 90,000 businesses, corporate professionals, journalists and magazine readers worldwide.

Annabella’s drive to deliver highly innovative design solutions to her clients, underpinned by outstanding design quality and fastidious professional standards, is a key factor behind her notable achievements. A product designer and interior architect, she has run her London-based design, project management and construction business for 25 years, consistently achieving record property values. She is the only interior designer in London offering in-house construction, streamlining the refurbishment process from initial concept through to completion and thereby ensuring her clients receive optimal value and efficiency.

Her two main commercial projects in 2022/23 were full design, project management and construction projects for returning clients in Knightsbridge, London.

Annabella commented, “Both contracts were extremely complex refurbishment projects requiring changes of layout to maximise the use of space. The design solutions derived from extensive consultation with my clients and were centred on my aim todramatically enhance their living experience. Throughout the process, I provided both my clients and the local planning authorities with detailed architectural designs with 3d animationsand sample boards of innovative finishes for the kitchens and bespoke joinery, all of which I created in Italy. In addition, I devised specific home automation solutions and FF&E packages to give life to the interiors. I am so pleased that my passion to provide my clients with inspiring spaces, while avoiding the headaches of unpredictable delivery and quality has led to second and third commissions and the formation of deep and trusting friendships.”

In addition, 2022/2023 was notable for Annabella’s increasing involvement in nurturing future talent.

• She is the Global Chair for the design and lifestyle wing for the G100 mission million nonprofit project that provides design opportunities to young female designers worldwide. “This project was only a concept at the start of 2022 but has already become a successful model to deliver exciting work opportunities for women design professionals by utilising the contacts I have cultivated during my 25 year career to build a global network of young designers through the G100 country chairs I have selected across the world,” said Annabella.

• Sustainability is a core focus for Annabella. In 2022, shelaunched her own industry award, the “Enlighten and Reflect”AssiaX Design Award, asking young designers across the world to submit designs for a new pendant light. This gave birth to a collaboration between the winning Spanish designer (xxxx name) and NemoLighting for use in the Arborea Living development, a sustainable community project based in Monza on the outskirts of Milan, providing 700 family flats
• This was followed in 2023 by the launch of the second AssiaX Design competition, asking entrants to enter concept designs for the London Light for Life contest in collaboration with Angus Cunningham from Scotscape to bring biodiversity into London via the redesign or existing lamp posts by making them multifunctional and alive. The winning design will be piloted in London in 2024.

It is wonderful to be working alongside the G100 network and to have launched my own AssiaX annual awards to identify future female industry leaders and provide my mentoring and practical support.
