Call for innovative designs created by female up-and-comers in the industry

Annabella Nassetti, experienced interior designer and architect, and Fiorenza Mella, digital technologist and international communications expert, have announced Enlighten & Reflect Design Award 2022, their first global award to support young female designers.
The award, inspired by the G100 Design and Lifestyle, a chapter of the Global G100 Network that connects and empowers women and young talents in numerous disciplines, has been launched through AssiaX. The latter is an initiative promoted by Nassetti and Mella as the business evolution of the global G100 Design & Lifestyle that focuses on converting young talents’ innovative projects (in design, architecture, digital technology etc.) into products.
Participation in the contest is open to students and graduates in Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Architecture, and Engineering with the aim of honouring the most innovative design project by a new young talent. Beyond celebrating innovation and originality, the goal of AssiaX is that of providing international visibility and offering a real professional opportunity. On top of that, the participants will be offered the chance to make a difference through contributing to a significant young women-related cause.
In the words of Annabella Nassetti, the debuting award will request its participants to design a truly innovative decorative lighting meeting the requirements of an end user.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this global organization and to have the chance to use my creativity in a different way. Together with Fiorenza Mella, I created AssiaX, an initiative that will oversee the development of the winning design from concept to production including royalties compensation. The destination will be eighteen 260mᶟ foyers at one of Milan’s top eco-conscious 700 units 66,000m2 residential development. In this particular case, for example, we initially sought a real application and then we made arrangements for manufacturing and installing the winning design. The Award will provide the unique opportunity to be part of a limited edition Collection to be produced by Nemo Lighting, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of lighting design”.
Official sponsor will be Arborea Living, a community project based in Monza that is meant to bring together 1200 people in a sustainable living initiative, to promote harmony between the built and the natural environment, and to provide services enhancing quality of life for families regardless of income. The designer will thus contribute to the philosophy of Arborea Living, a project strongly linked to issues of sustainability with a view to build a better lifestyle in harmony with nature.
A panel of independent industry professionals will evaluate all nominations on the basis of relevant criteria, namely eco-conscious design, light perforation effect, technical excellence and cost-effectiveness. The winning project will be announced on April 24th, 2022.
Furthermore the winning product will be showcased at the 2022 MILAN DESIGN WEEK (June 7– 12), the most renowned world-class event for the design industry. What else to say? An opportunity not to be missed.
The deadline to submit a nomination is 11 April, 2022 at 5 p.m. CET by forwarding the design to info@assiax.com.
